Today was a pretty typical day for The Bear. He was in a relatively
good mood, even though he had restless sleep last night. He was even
interested in a big, healthy dinner before bed. The most interesting
part of the day came at bedtime, though. He chose a special book that
he had not read before.
It's
a really fun book that is part of a series he really enjoys. However,
in the book, Llama Llama doesn't want to share is stuffed animal. A
tug-of-war ensues and... well, the toy loses an arm. When Noah saw the
page and what had happened, he shrieked in horror and began crying
uncontrollably. Who knew that he would become so upset. Thankfully he
was settled down when he continued to read and found out that the toy
was sewn back together and all was well. You'd think he would never
want to read the book again, but as soon as it ended, he wanted it all
over again. The shock of the "toy incident" had worn off and Noah was
able to enjoy the story much better the second time around. Phew! It
seems that bedtime stories can be a little more emotional than we adults
may give credit for.
